The Romanian Airline Companies Association ”Carpathia” commends the repatriation mission carried out by member airline HelloJets, which ensured the safe transportation of 174 Romanian citizens from Taba (Egypt, on the border with Israel) to Bucharest.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Crisis Cell, and with the support of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, demonstrating once again the importance of having solid national aeronautical capabilities.
Such missions are complex and require careful coordination between authorities, the airline, crews, technical staff, and the operational structures involved in planning and executing the flight. The professionalism and promptness of the HelloJets team allowed this operation to take place under safe conditions.
For RACA, this example confirms the strategic role that Romanian airlines can play when the situation demands it. In difficult moments or crisis contexts, a state's ability to rely on its own aviation industry resources becomes essential.
