The launch was attended by Romanian and Syrian officials both at Bucharest \u201cHenri Coand\u0103\u201d International Airport (Otopeni) and at Damascus International Airport, with ACAR represented by President Marius Popescu and Vice President C\u0103t\u0103lin Ilie.<\/p>\n<p>Why does this flight matter?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It represents a strategic revival of connectivity between Europe and the Middle East, with Romania positioned as a regional transit point;<\/li>\n<li>It confirms the ability of Romanian carriers to operate at high standards\u2014even in regions with special security and airspace coordination challenges;<\/li>\n<li>It sends a clear message of courage, discipline, and professionalism from Romania\u2019s aviation industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/danair.ro\/\">DAN AIR<\/a> will operate four weekly flights on the Bucharest\u2013Damascus route, with extensions to Berlin starting in July.<\/p>\n<p>The Romanian Airline Companies Association \u201cCarpathia\u201d supports and congratulates this initiative, which combines commercial bravery, operational excellence, and diplomatic responsibility.
